Mindfulness: Living with Loss and Change
Grief is one of the heart’s natural responses to loss. When we grieve we allow ourselves to feel the truth of our pain, the measure of betrayal or tragedy in our life. By our willingness to mourn, we slowly acknowledge, integrate, and accept the truth of our losses. Sometimes the best way to let go is to grieve. — Jack Kornfield
We never clear grief and loss from our experience. What we can change is our relationship with the pain that loss brings and begin to heal our hearts. Based on mindfulness and meditations of Jack Kornfield’s grief-work around living with loss and Pema Chödren’s “When Life Falls Apart,” individuals will learn containment strategies, meditative practices and somatic exercises that will help them identify how loss is impacting their lives, sit with their feelings and practical solutions for living with loss and change.
